Thanks for posting this video.
I love What the Bleep: Down the Rabbit Hole and the love experiments on water.
When I was a TBM I read a book on the Atonement and I thought it was very good. It was about a God who offered his son as an example of an all encompassing love, paying the price of the entire galaxy's wrong doings.
I told my wife "It's all about Love." "Love is the answer--to everything." She was scared shitless. "What do you mean, it's all about love? There are things that we have to do." She could not accept a god of unconditional love.
Then I started reading the Old Testament when it was in the Sunday School cycle. Where was this unconditional loving god I thought we believed in? (I remember this was the last time I bore my testimony, at the beginning of this Old Testament year. I stood there extolling the OT and begged people to join me on the journey. Then I read about Lot and his daughters. WTF was that all about. Is that what a prophet does? I stopped reading it right there. Found out more about the OT and it's folk lore.)
Same thing in the Book of Mormon, this judgmental, 'obey me or else' controlling crap.
Now I'm pantheistic, god is in us all, we are all part of god. I do not believe in a physical god in heaven who is constantly playing games with us, testing us to see if we can feel the electric shocks, or seeing if we'll choose a certain thing and damning us to hell if we don't choose the right one like lab rats in a maze) -- but Love is still the answer.
We need to quite trying to control everything and everybody and just offer love, feel love, rejoice in love. (Offer a cup of coffee, too, while you're at it!!)
