Comment by PerfectTheSaints.org on January 14, 2012 at 2:46pm Our family is actually Deist now. After leaving the church we suspected problems with Christianity so we hit paus on the "spritual investigation train" and finished the video quickly as Christians. We figured most TBMs would give us more credability in our then Christian state than they would any atheist, agnostic, or deist. Please present this video to anyone still in the church. So far 8 people outside our family have left Mormonism because of the information in this video that we know of (it's only been posted for three weeks). The latest one was just this morning and lives in Ireland.
Comment by MikeUtah on January 14, 2012 at 3:30pm Awesome job on the video and drawing others out of Mormonism. I'm somewhat Deist or Pandeist myself, now investigating a branch of Neo-Paganism. The open approach to spirituality outside of Mormonism is refreshing and fun. So much better being able to choose which beliefs to hold instead of being told which beliefs you will accept or be looked down upon.

Comment by DFRV on January 15, 2012 at 4:49pm Thank you for putting together this amazing video. I can see why 8 people would have been helped by it already. I especially liked the part where your daughter explained her research on polygamy. The part on the Book of Mormon was excellent as well. One of the most interesting things I have learned recently is how Joseph Smith still believed in the trinity until much later in his life when he moved towards polytheism. Suddenly Abinadi's sermon made sense where it had always been so confusing before because it seemed to teach the exact opposite of Mormon doctrine. I guess it was just to complicated to try and change that part not like in Nephi where they could just add the words "the Son of" in front of "the Eternal Father." I think my favorite part of the video though was the wife's Mom said when you told her you were leaving the church. I feel kind of the same way in my relationship with my father. I always judged him a little because he wasn't the righteous priesthood holder presiding over prayer and scripture study in our family. Now I just love him and don't care if he is doing all the things on the church's checklist for us. I really want to thank you for sharing that with everyone since I feel like it has helped me to understand and heal from some of the issues I am dealing with.

Comment by Cora Judd on January 20, 2012 at 9:36am What a thorough job - thank you for creating and sharing this. The best thing the church ever did to secure itself in the minds of members was to condition them to label everything that contradicts doctrine as "anti-Mormon" (and then admonish them to avoid it).
