This is very disturbing. But it isn't entirely correct. It definitely has it's own "anti-mormon" spin on everything. I just want the facts. It doesn't help to jump from one extreme to the other.

Interesting.  Laci uses colorful language to describe what essentially is true.  I could take no issue with the substance of what she said.  Her observations, such as she related, pretty much mirror my own---and I was a staunch, dyed-in-the-wool Mormon for 67 years on two continents.  Her description of the "white" church would be more descriptive if she described the way that the de facto effect of the church is to turn its members into WASPs, wherever they live.  Rather than to generously absorb the wonderful varieties in culture that could be reflected in the church membership into the structure, mission, and operation of the church.  In Belize the church was ignorant even of the language diversities and peculiarities of the people, sending Spanish language programs and assistance to a people that primarily speak English---all because they are administratively lumped into Central America.  And church meetings there were made to look like meetings held among Utah Mormons, even to the recommended dress codes---in the tropics.  A not very inspired, one-size-fits all administrative approach.  I guess you could call that a "white" church; because it translates about the same.  Otherwise she was right on---but she didn't go far enough with her complaints.  And I believe that if you don't see that then you may not have seen enough of the subtle, narrow minded ignominy of the Church before you managed to throw off its chains.

Oh, man. I was commenting on the cartoon that played after this video. Ummm... oops? No, Lacie's opinions were perfectly reasonable for her experiences. My experiences in the church were much better. I didn't see any problem with the culture, just some parts of the doctrine itself.
