TheThinkingAtheist: Nothing More To Talk About

Many religious family members pray for their atheist and agnostic loved ones graciously, honoring personal boundaries and showing respect for the skeptic's right to form his/her own worldview. This video is not about them. This video is an open letter to the mothers, fathers, siblings and friends who attempt to rescue the atheist by sheer, constant, suffocating volume. If you're a skeptic fending off the constant barrage of attempts to convince, cajole and convert you to Christianity, perhaps this video will help you articulate your reasons for rejecting superstition and choosing the path of reason, science and common sense.

She is a little harsh. Why can't there be some give and take?

You make good points ... and i agree that believing in God is a free personal choice or belive

On the other hand, even if i dont believe and most of all find some parts of religions horrific and horrible i have a need of a God in my life .... just because i hope there is a better world somewhere.

And believing in God does not make me intolerant of homosexuals or others ....because i dont hate how religions persecute them .... i know what persecution is all about and how i was banned or forbidden to love someone because of religions .... so i understand how religions can destroy someone .

And i suppose you felt the same way because your parents rejected you because you did not believe .... and i agree that it is everyone's choice to believe and not believe ... and it is also parents's, friends, family's, husbands' whatever's duty to love you the way you are even if you differ in opinions and as long as your behaviour dont hurt them..

there are so many things that religions do that are so hurtful to others ...... and sometimes religious men are the worse. Because in the end what we all need is love and people who will support us and be there when we need ..

I have been there i know

I don't think it is too harsh at all really.  If they believe in the Bible that is one thing, but if they are willing to go to those extremes and still say she needs to believe it too then they have nothing more to talk about.
