Wow, the end of the endowment ceremony. Not so secret anymore.
In the process of leaving the church (five years ago), garments were one of the last symbols I had to let go of.
Does that say something about the mind control these things have? I was a member for forty years.

Hard to believe the realism right down to breaking the rules by wearing black watches in the temple. For me it wasn't always that easy going to the veil , I always had to be coached ...the three taps by the rubber hammer sent chills up spine...I liked the music it added to the cultiness..It was creepy way back when and still is today!!!!!

When I was excommunicated, they did'nt seem as harsh...They seemed to have a mixture of concern and confusion...My main issue was I didnt believe the "prophet" was autamatically right about everything...The SP did however seem to get a rush of some kind when he pronounced me excommunicated, especially when he said,"You no longer hold the priesthood."...Damn it! no more "magic feather"? How will I survive? LOL...

Thank you, ScottyDoo! I was too late to watch the original clip put up by Micah, but your clip worked just fine. Wow. I'm not quite sure what to say to that. In some ways, it was pretty and nice, but in other ways, it made me feel a little nauseous. I always HATED the veil. I could not remember that whole "marrow in the bones" thing at all. Every time I went up there, my stomach knotted up, and I could barely get the first line out, let alone the whole verse.

And I was an endowed member of the LDS Church for 6 years (born into it but of course didn't go through the temple until I got married. I got out of the Church 6 years after that). I just never liked going to the temple though.
