I am working on a sociological study on how the Lamanite teaching has affected Mormons socially.
Anyone willing to be generous with their accounts would have my most sincere appreciation. I can post the findings, or send them to you via private message, if you are interested in finding out the results.
If you would preferl to submit your account anonymously and through more private means, please let me know and I will provide an e-mail address that you can use to send your account.
Thanks to those of you (in advance) who are willing to share.
The Lamanite DNA was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Throughout my membership the BOM was the physical evidence that held it all together. During the 60's and 70's the church paraded archeological evidence before the members as proof. They do not do it so much now. My email is danialstapleton@hotmail.com

Comment by PhiloSophia on June 9, 2012 at 8:20pm I am particularly interested in those who were most affected by it, those targeted (non-whites). Anything you wish to share would be helpful. You can private message me if you wish. :) Thank you for your input thus far. :)
Comment by ShannonN7 on June 10, 2012 at 12:10am I see where you're going with this and I like that you want to study this. Many people don't think of it & you've got me intrigued. I wish I had the info/experience you're looking for, but all I can say is it's a touchy subject for some on here & they aren't willing to admit. Anything dealing with racism is always touchy. I congrats you for your courage to post this. I hope this blog post yeilds more info on exactly what you're seeking in a positive manner, where all can learn
Comment by ffr on June 13, 2012 at 11:05pm My wife is Lamanite. From the Island of Tonga. I am just a white boy from Wyo. She grew up being told she was Lamanite, danced at the PCC, and thought she had the blood of Israel in her veins. Her skin color never seemed to change from that evil darker hue.....which must be due to her wicked ways. I'll see if she will comment. We have been married since 84 and race really dosen't seem to be an issue in or out of the church.
