Rereading the Book of Mormon

Has anyone reread the Book of Mormon since leaving the church? I haven't and am determined to before I get my names removed, but read it from a literary stand point. The little scripture and religious books I've read since leaving the church, but analyzing them instead of just reading for direction or enjoyment(or thinking it's enjoyment) has been interesting, as I see that from a literary stand point, they are abysmal. Sometimes I wish I could get "plugged back in".

This last week has been kind of a rough week. Throughout the last week I have been thinking a lot about how hard it is to deal with the loss of my world view. At first I felt freed by leaving everything behind, and to a degree I do still feel freed. I feel a weight has been lifted, but in many ways the previous weight has been replaced by other things. Of all the communications, internal honesty seems to be extremely difficult, yet we blithely go on believing that we are true to ourselves and true about ourselves.
