Child molestation

By now, the entire world is aware of Catholicism's problem with child molestation.  However, how many people are aware that the LDS church also turns a blind eye away from it?  When I was a scout committee chairman, I heard of several cases where LDS scout leaders had been convicted of child molestation and the church excommunicated them.  following their excommunication, these ex-Mormons are free to take the missionary discussions, get baptized and once again become scout leaders.  The…See More

Translation of the Scrolls.

After forty years, I asked two obvious questions:  Why would an eighteen year old man in NY State translate an ancient language into Shakespearean English (it isn't God's language, or Gutenberg's),  & where did they get all the full sized Equines ?Those and so many other questions, plus so much of the religion that just didn't make sense.  The greatest of which was, as Catholicism does, turning a blind eye towards child molesters!See More

The straw that broke the camel's back

For many years I was having a problem rationalizing my membership in the church.  I read the history of the church and the current church had many contradictions to what it has started as.  The end came when our bishop stood at the stand and read a letter from the quorum of the twelve advising (instructing) us how to vote in an upcoming election.  This wasn't the first time this had happened by any means; we've all heard the stories of the old political fight to save block voting way back…See More
