"I didn't follow the WOW when I was a member, except for the two years I was on a mission, and I don't follow it now. Although I think I am in better control now that I am out of the church than I was when I was a member! As a teenager, and…"
"Hello everyone! I am currently living in Wyoming, but I lived in Washington state for most of my childhood and then we moved to Oregon, where I lived for 10 years, and my family still lives, before I moved out here a year ago. I love the Pacific…"
You asked Edward how he deals with the anxiety that is caused by not believing in an afterlife, but I think I have a good answer for you. I myself don't believe in an afterlife at all. At first it haunted my mind, and I hate thinking…"

"hey, thanks for the welcome! Yeah, I am glad I "got out of the game" so early. I played with the idea of just rolling with it, but I didn't like the idea of getting married in the temple, raising kids and then realizing I…"
I was raised a mormon in a very active family. I spent my childhood trying to please my parents and church leaders and I served as deacons and teachers quorum president, and priest quorum assistant. I went on a mission to Argentina and returned about a year and a half ago. As a teenager I questioned the church vigorously, but it wasn't until I was on the mission that I discovered that my questions would never be answered because the church, and religion in general, did not hold the answers. I am now a strong atheist, working and going to school to become a chemical engineer.
