This past week the Jehovah's Witnesses have been canvassing the neighborhoods in which I live and work.  I really don't know that much about them and decided to do some research.  I also decided to research the Seventh Day Adventists, since I know even less about them.Both were founded in America.  JW in Pennsylvania in 1870.  7DA has roots in upstate New York in the 1840's but wasn't officially organized until 1863 in Michigan.  Both claim to be a  restoration to an earlier, pure, and…See More

Exit Strategy

I recently stopped attending the Mormon church.  My intention is to break all ties with it.  Yet all my family are members and I don't want to ruin my relationship with them.  They've been loving, supportive and encouraging my entire life, but if they know I've left the church that may not continue.   Seems simple enough to just fade away into "inactivity."  I would like to do that, but my circumstances won't allow that.  I'm currently disfellowshipped and have been meeting with my bishop on…
