Was a 4th generation BIC. Grew up a TBM until the end of high school. I started to have problems with some of the gospel teachings (i.e. forever families, homosexuality, the status of women, etc), but still remained pretty faithful.
It all went downhill when I decided, against the will of my family, to attend a state university instead of BYU. I was then exposed to normal life, found it enjoyable and stopped going to church.
Two years into school a co-worker introduced me to the Recovery from Mormonism website and the next day I submitted my resignation.
Now I'm no longer defined by a religion and really enjoy being able to freely be myself.

Favorite activity after mormonism?
Do I have to pick just one? I love drinking coffee and the occasional margarita, staying up late, sleeping in late, and treating Sundays like just any other day. I love wearing whatever I want without concern including the bikini! There are simply no unnecessary boundaries anymore.

Great major! Almost 5 years ago I was taking developmental psych and sociology at the same time and they were big eye openers for me as well. I remember sitting in sociology thinking, "OMG. Maybe I believe what I believe because of the culture I was raised in." sounds simple now but at the time it was a huge awakening;) Good luck with graduation!!
