"My biggest shocker had to do with books (which is only fitting because I am a librarian. :-)) Anyway, I used to point to the Pearl of Great Price as being the LDS Church's scientific backing - after all, in it, it talks about other worlds,…"
"What a fantastic video!!!!! I got chills up and down my arms. Loved it, loved it! I am not gay (I am happily engaged to the man of my dreams) but I have become a huge advocate of the gay community since I left the Church and I love seeing a joyous,…"
"Yes, it is. All religions point to that same feeling and say it's God. I think a very strong case could be made that it's your wiring in your brain reacting to stimuli in a predictable fashion.
But then again, I'm an atheist, so my…"
"Wow, thanks for all the hard work!!! Every time I hear about people getting baptized into the Church, I just cringe. I want to go running, screaming, PLEASE DON'T DO IT!!!!!!
At least the good news is, the Church isn't growing like…"
"Thank you, ScottyDoo! I was too late to watch the original clip put up by Micah, but your clip worked just fine. Wow. I'm not quite sure what to say to that. In some ways, it was pretty and nice, but in other ways, it made me feel a little…"
LOL! Being the old grunt that I am, I like to joke about sex. It seems that sex was such a repressed topic when I was growing up and especially among LDS people, so maybe I get a kick out of making peple squirm a little."

We will include and invite thousands of Utahns, Mormon or otherwise to join our voices against discrimination. We will work "with" then to elevate the…See More
"I am on a book Ning, although under a different name. I try to keep my ex-Mormon life as far away from my "normal" life as humanly possible, because if my family ever found out that I was running an ex-Mormon website, I'd get…"
I was a born-in-the covenant, true-believing Mormon for almost all of my life. I finally got out in the fall of '08.
Interests and Hobbies:
Reading, thinking for myself, writing, and of course, destroying the LDS Church as any good apostate would.
The Book of Mormon. JUST KIDDING!
Far too many to mention. I work at a library, so I've read way too many to even know where to start.
The Matrix, if only for the obvious parallels between it and the LDS Church. Also Chocolat, because I spent the movie cheering the main lady on for taking on the establishment, and refusing to bow to peer pressure and attend church.
Favorite activity after mormonism?
Spending my Sundays doing what I want to do, instead of feeling guilty and being bored at church like I used to.
