I was born and raised in Oregon. I grew up in the church but it never really took. Despite not believing in the hocus pocus I still served a mission in Japan. I think I went on a mission to throw my parents a bone, but I couldn't live a lie my entire life so now I'm out. I'm currently living in Cheyenne Wyoming and I work as an engineer for a satellite company. I'm working on a degree in Computer Science.
Interests and Hobbies:
I like working with computers. I'm a pretty good juggler. I enjoy watching movies and hanging out with friends. I also love to travel.
The God Delusion - I read this book several times while I was serving my mission.
Gattaca - Greatest film ever
12 angry men - Old but good
Zero Day - A little messed up but totally amazing
Favorite activity after mormonism?
Reflecting on how awesome it is that I finally escaped the cult.

TheAceMan My youngest son graduated from the UofU in Computer Science. He LOVES it. He might be a bit older than you are (born in 1976). Great field. I know this site is good for confidentiality and am wondering how we might get together. My friends in Cheyenne I told you about would greatly benefit from someone else's experiences, etc. When I first talked with my friend she was so lost and felt there was no one she could talk to.
We are going to be away for Halloween, but if you could tell me how we might get together, I would appreciate it. I think we should form a group. Perhaps we could do it through PostMormon.org. They have some chapters. ThanX! Lyndee
Hi, I think you may have two messages, as I invited you as a friend. Thank you for saying hello. I have some good friends who came to me a few months ago with questions. They now are struggling and wondering how they can leave the Church. They just took their oldest son to BYU. It would be nice to find others and meet once in a while. Unfortunately, I don't know quite how to get out the word. Maybe we should put up a bill board like the one PostMormon.org has "You are not alone". Have a good day.
