- I was "born under the covenant to wonderful parents who were themselves from pioneer stock. I went on a mission (1963-65) to the Eastern Atlantic States, got married in the temple and was happy and active in the church all my life up till about 2001 when I decided that I simply did NOT believe in the Biblical and LDS creation story, the Flood of Noah, and nearly EVERYTHING that I had tried to believe all my life. Over the course of the next 8 years, I stopped callings, my activity in the Church and resigned in 2008 and feel like a stone has been taken from my mind. I can look at astronomy, archaeology, death, and theoretical physics without trying to believe in an invisible homosapien God looking down from Kolob trying to judge and micromanage the weather and all humans.
