Do any of you know details about what happens when you resign from the church? Is it like an excommunication where the "bonds made in the temple are broken"? And if so, would they inform the people that were you sealed to about it? I am considering doing this, but would also want to keep it a secret from my mother. I know that makes me sound like a coward, but she's very much a TBM and it would break her heart to see me officially resign. Thanks!See More

- Two basic facts to start us off: I'm a recent ex-mormon and ex-wife. Both of those facts have given me a new found freedom in life and I'm excited to see where that will take me. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in English, creative writing emphasis (as well as Psychology and Sociology minors). I'd like to be a screenwriter/novelist, but we'll see what happens. I did a study abroad in May of 2006, the British Literary Tour. We traveled over to Scotland, Ireland, England and Wales. I just moved back to my hometown of Boise, ID and found a new job that I hope will be fulfilling...
- Interests and Hobbies:
- Writing, reading, drawing, watching movies, dancing, cooking, hanging out with friends, etc. Mostly the normal, same ol', same ol' kind of stuff I guess.
- Favorite Books:
- I've read a lot of good books, but none really stand out as an all time favorite. I love William Butler Yeats and Oscar Wilde. This summer I got into Sarah Dessen, who writes great young adult novels. I also like Harlan Coben for suspense. Stephen King is pretty good. That's all I can come up with for now...
- Favorite Movies:
- Tough one. I'm big into movies. We'll just do a list: Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, Scream, Shaun of the Dead, Sliding Doors, Napolean Dynamite, The Notebook, The Village, Signs, Peter Pan, Flushed Away, Beauty and the Beast, O' Brother Where Art Thou?, Bandits, Disturbia, House of Wax (new version). The list is basically endless.
- Favorite activity after mormonism?
- Drinking! ;)
