While I was still a Mormon I had an interesting thought cross my mind. Why do we worship Elohim? Elohim was once a man, and had a father-god of his own. Why do we not worship him, because without this God neither Elohim nor we would exist? Better yet why do we not worship this God’s father, Elohim’s grandfather? I have noticed a lot of similarities between the goals of totalitarian regimes of the past several decades and The Millennium as described by Mormons. This thought has been bouncing around in my head for a few years now; I was even chided for bringing it up by a devout, yet short tempered Mormon. Here is a list of similarities I have found, please feel free to correct or add.

So awhile ago I made a post where I examined some ways I used to think as a Mormon and asked the community to respond with their own thoughts. Recently the user Lapsed (thanks for bringing this up btw) made a point about how choosing Satan's plan in the premortal existence sounds better than Jesus'.
