Hi Eni! Yes, life at Mormonism is one thing when one is a child and another when one is no longer a child! Perhaps it has to do with Fowler's Stages of Spiritual Grouth. If yopu pass Stage 3 -as you must as an evolutionary Soul-then Mormonism is felt as a cage.
Yes, indeed. If one is living a life really full in Christ, the contrast with the usual Mormon life is shocking. In my case I was baptize in my very early teens and after a couple of years of activity I moved on to very deep religious life outside Mormonism...Then last year, Heaven knows why, I made a return that proved as exemplary as it was disastrous.I came back looking for a sense of belonging and community...well, I found nothing of the sort, in place of that what I found was a bunch of neurotic people full of unresolved issues mixed with guilt and fear...Back to Life now and trying to forget a dreadful experience.
