Profile Information

Relationship Status (single, partner, etc):
Single. Divorced. Despite doing everything I could to make our marriage work, after 8 months, my crazy TBM wife filed and got two divorces from me. Civil and Temple. I now realize she did me a big favor. I would have hung-on for 10, 20 or 30 years, and been misserable the whole time.
My Story:
I was brainwashed by loving parents into The Morg as an infant, and it took 55 years to realize it was false.

I slowly came to the realization that I had never felt the spirit, never had a prayer answered, and my leaders had never received revelation for me.

I've always loved science, so it didn't take long after I gave myself permission to study Evolution, that I became an Atheist. I've considered myself an Atheist since about 2008.

In June 2010, I finally officially resigned from the church and had my name removed. In Nov 2010, I finally got the courage to tell my family that I knew there were no gods. I had a good family, which I always enjoyed, but now it feels like I don't have a family because they are still in the brainwashed state.

I'm honest and kind. I'm intelligent, but slow thinking. I'm a perfectionist, usually in the negative sense of the word, and I still often have anxiety and depression.
Interests and Hobbies:
Edible Gardening is the most relaxing and enjoyable thing I do.
The things I grow are thousands of times tastier than what I get in the store, and less expensive.
I also like watching comedies about family and friendship, riding my recumbent trike,
and increasing my knowledge of scientific discoveries.

Pam Kazmaier - Losing My Mind, Bit by Bit

Posted 08/13/2005

In 1985, three years after moving to Mesa, Arizona, I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was a popular church in the area. I had joined lots of churches over the years. Rather lightheartedly, I agreed to be baptized before my hospital shift. Little did…

Thanks for the Welcome! Under the banner heaven was an interesting and distrubing read. We heard a movie is going to made based on the book so thought we should read it.

Yes. I lost my faith at a very young age. I never had a testimony and I never once felt "the spirit".

Raised in a batshit crazy TBM home, I had to "walk the walk and talk the talk" under the threat of great physical violence and possible death. (I'm not fucking kidding.)

I'm still convinced to this day that my mother was capable of Filicide.

Fuckin' crazy cunt.

I saw this on a shirt on "The Cult of Dusty" and figured I'd snag it before anyone else.

Thank you for your kind comments.

I think all ex-Mormons should share their exit stories to counter what appears to be an increasingly powerful influence of the church. Because my spouse is an active Mormon, I see the near-daily Mormon Times newspaper. It's clear that the church has become much more sophisticated about its "brand".

I'll try to figure out the Exit Stories page.

hmm... interesting... well, I have made it clear. I guess, part of the reason as to why they want me back so badly is because my husband left with me, and he is a 5th gen. Mormon...
Apart from that, back when I was contacted on the street it was actually the Mission President ! ;)
Maybe it's a combination of everything ?

At 5:19am on August 25, 2011, Nilje said…

same here... I told them, If they didn't stop with what I felt was harassment, I was going to first of all contact the police, and second of all, contact Church Headquaters in Frankfurt Germany, for I'm sure they'd like to know what's going on.. !

At 7:55am on August 24, 2011, Nilje said…

thanks, but I am still trying to overcome the harassment from Members, even Church leaders and esp. Missionaries ! :O
