That feeling of authenticity is the key isn't it? I couldn't feel that for many years and it was splitting me in two. Now I can finally live a life with a clear conscience and being true to who I really am, rather than pretend. I lost a lot of friends and family because of my choice to leave the church - but even though it is lonely and hard sometimes, I would never go back. Its so nice to have places like this where we can connect with people who understand what we have been through.
