"Susan, you ask why Bush wouldn't have made a big deal out of the death of Bin Laden if it occurred in 2002. How could he get the American people to support the wars he and Cheney were about to start if the boogeyman was already out of the…"
"Well done, Michah! I'm particularly chagrined at the national celebrations of bloodlust over the killing of Bin Laden, who almost certainly had nothing to do with 9/11 (he denied any hand in it, and even the FBI admits no evidence linking…"
you are absolutely right! You just gave me the best advice I have had for a while! Please forgive me if I have offended you- that and NOTHING else was my intention for leaving the group. You have all been hurt enough. You most certainly do not…"
I thank you for your kindness towards me! You really are great. I love your blog- but the truth is, if people won't even keep an open mind to what has caused their anger and loss of faith in God, I am done here. I don't want to…"
"Rock has done an outstanding article! I KNOW that many of you have given up on God, because of your anger against the church! PLEASE, I HUMBLY am asking you to read this amazing piece by Rock and you WILL know that the Mormon church of today IS the…"

My wife and I, together with our three daughters, are in the process of leaving the church. Quite a process on a number of fronts. We lived in Elk Grove for about fifteen years and moved to Nevada City about seven years ago. My wife and I would love to meet with you sometime. We work during the day but most evenings and weekends are relatively free.
I am new to this site, and my wife and I are both interested to know if there are any groups of like minded people in the Sacramento area. We are both in the process of leaving the church after many years.
Hey, Connie! Nice to meet you! I would love to hear more of your story. If you want, you can post it in the "Forums" section at the top of your page under the "Our Exit Stories" catagory. If you aren't ready to post it publicly, feel free to send it to me in a private message. I'm sure there are several of us here who can relate and who have gone through a similiar journey. You will definitely find a lot of support here! Also, if you have a facebook page and haven't done so already, you can request me as a friend and I will accept! :o)
Hi Connie! I saw your comment to Jen. I was curious as to whether you have posted your exit story and journey here or elsewhere as it sounds like you have had a different pathway out than most, perhaps similar to my own. Please let me know. Thanks!
Yes, "Loose Change" was very eye opening for me too and I watched it before leaving the church as well. If you read my exit story, you'll probably find we have many things in common regarding our awakening and transition from the church. I have awakened to many things that others take for granted or think I am loony for thinking/believing. Oh well, they likely just aren't ready for that much awareness yet. Thanks again for being a friend here!
