I'm an agnostic humanist who recently finally left the church after over two years of research, thought, prayer, and meditation. My husband is still a fairly liberal Mormon with very strong faith. We go together to the LDS church half the time and to the local Unitarian Universalist congregation (or wherever else I decide) the other half.
Interests and Hobbies:
I love quilting, reading, and people.
To Kill A Mockingbird, A Handmaid's Tale, Maniac Magee, All Creatures Great And Small, Ender's Game, Savage Inequalities: Children in America's Schools, Les Misérables, Unequal Childhoods: Class, Race, and Family Life, Material World: A Global Family Portrait, Carry On, Jeeves, most things by Terry Pratchett.
Favorite activity after mormonism?
The same thing that was my favorite activity before: having engaging conversations with friends and strangers. The diversity of people is what makes this world so great. Seeing the humanity in everyone -- acknowledging the face of the other -- is what gives my life meaning.
