Rereading the Book of Mormon

Has anyone reread the Book of Mormon since leaving the church? I haven't and am determined to before I get my names removed, but read it from a literary stand point. The little scripture and religious books I've read since leaving the church, but analyzing them instead of just reading for direction or enjoyment(or thinking it's enjoyment) has been interesting, as I see that from a literary stand point, they are abysmal. The Bible has characters with conflicting actions, horrible plot structure,…See More

Hey Bryce, we are having a Denver area meetup and I thought you might be interested - sorry for the last minute notice:

****

For our July meetup, Carrie has graciously offered to host a BBQ at her home in Littleton. We are shooting for tomorrow Sunday July 24th (Pioneer Day - how is that for irony?) at 5pm. The address is 8881 W. Cooper Ave Littleton, Co 80128.

Pot luck style - so bring your own meat, side dish, and alcohol. We also are a tad short on lawn chairs, so if you have one that would be helpful to bring as well.

Please send me a quick note if you are going to come so we can get a sense for how many people will be coming.

Hope to see you there!
