I was raised LDS & had an OK experience until I joined the single adult classes, where the teacher of Institute put pressure on me to marry and have children, despite the fact that everyone treated me like I had some contagious terminal disease that could be passed to my prospective children because I am legally blind. I moved to a different ward in a different state, but had a similar experience & got exhausted trying to fulfill the laundry list of things the church required, plus I felt angry over the prejudicee shown to LGBT people that affected a good friend. My family are still members, but I've been free since 2006 & am much happier.
