So I mailed off my official resignation letter to the church two days ago and I am wondering if anyone here has done the same? I used the website mormonnomore.com which was very helpful and informative. I am waiting in anticipation for the resistance I will meet. But I know this is the right thing to do so that I can bring some closure to my previous life. So I guess my question is how did this go for you? How did your family take the news? How did the church handle your official resignation?
I grew up in Northern California in a very strict LDS family. I moved around after high school and actually ended up in Salt Lake City. This happens to be the place I ended up leaving the church. I love living here with my boyfriend of three years and all my wonderful friends.
