Profile Information

Relationship Status (single, partner, etc):
single
About Me:
I am 18 years old, born and raised a Mormon. I started questioning about 2 years ago, and finally decided that I did not believe about 1 year ago. I still have not broken ties with the church, or told my family that I don't believe, I am desperately looking for a way out that won't be emotionally damaging to myself or my parents.
Interests and Hobbies:
I love to read, especially fantasy books (Lord of the Rings, Dresden Files, etc.), as well as playing video games. I also love hanging out with my friends and playing Dungeons and Dragons (I know, super nerdy, right?)
Favorite Books:
The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit
Favorite Movies:
The Lord of the Rings, Primer, Toy story 1-3, Star Wars the original trilogy.
Favorite activity after mormonism?
Probably the same as ever curling up in bed with a good book.

The Cave

My whole life has been lived in a cave,

Never wondering, never pondering,

Never searching for the truth.

Lies and deceit were all I…

Hey Aaron!  I have kids close to your age who are non believers.   Sounds like you all enjoy the same kinds of things.  I hope you find peace on this new journey of yours and a way to make a graceful exit with minimal damage to your family relationships!  It's a tough road, but you can do this!!  Welcome to the PNW group!

Welcome Aaron!  Nice of you to join us.  Sounds like you're still in transition and performing the balancing act ;-).  Just be true to yourself and respect other's right to follow their own paths as well and you should be fine.  Good luck and enjoy the site and community.
