I am working up the courage to write and send in my resignation. It so hard living in southern alberta... Especially in the small lds communities... i dont want to be alienated.

Hair, I know it can be hard. I can tell you it was the most freeing thing I ever did, but then I don't think a cared much about being alienated.

hair, I've not been a "member" for almost 20 years, yet home teachers, Visiting teachers, and the like still call me, even though I've respectfully told them I'm Catholic. My Mother is the Stake Relief Society President, all of my family is LDS. At this point I'm READY to outwardly acknowledge my beliefs, wants, and wishes, which include resigning from that Church. What kind of "Christ-like" behavior is that, when people, your own family turn their backs on you, or look down their noses at you in their sanctimonious pity. Save it I say. I prefer to be in the company of those who believe in The Lord as our Savior, and treat those around them accordingly.
