Hello All, I was browsing this group today finally, and thought I'd share a little blog entry I wrote a while back.  I was waxing philosophical one day and using the skills I'd learned from GA's over…Continue

Yeah, the FJRs are something. We've had so many great trips on it. Our longest was 3,800 miles. My wife hadn't riden on the back of a bike on a trip before we bought our bike. But she took to it like a duck to water. Definitely no lack of power. I remember a time I was heading home, maybe from Laguna Seca, coming down Interstate 5, and an Audi was zippin right along and traffic was light. I started following him and when he got hung up I'd shoot ahead and we were back and forth having a great time. Before we knew it we were hitting 145. Even with the bags on the bike it had plenty more.

That's what I want too, is a dual sport, capable of two riders.  Probably a KTM.

I like any kind of riding.  Have a Victory for the road, and a BMW dual sport with knobbies that I use for more dirt riding.  The BMW pic is at the top of Willard Peak. I don't remember where the victory pic was, somewhere up monte?victory.jpgBMW.jpg

BWT: the roadside cross in the previous picture is strictly coincidental.

I ride a H-D but do most of my riding with buddies who ride other makes.  Am I the only Hog owner on the list?

I live in Northern Utah and currently own dirt bikes and a KLR 650 with knobbies and bags.  I've put about 6000 miles on it, mostly on dirt here in Utah.  I would be interested in any riding, especially dirt oriented adventure riding and camping.

Me and Pattie just sold our FJR1300. We put 32,000 miles on it traveling all over the western U.S.   Pattie just had 3 vertibrae fused and riding was stongly discouraged by her surgeon. For any of you in Utah, I'm Shorty's dad.
