Whilst I can't honestly say I'm a natural-born naturist, I've never seen it as a big issue, but with the climate here,  and in the privacy of my own secluded property, I often don't wear clothes at all in the summer.

Yes, that about describes me now.  I was a terrible incredible prude as a Mormon--thought my eternal soul was on the line.  But now I've discovered that being nude and have the air touch my skin is one of the most natural and relaxing things I can think of.

And for the places I can't be nude, I wear as little as posible.  I SO remember the first day I realized I could strip off those holy underwear and proudly put on the shortest cut-offs I could make and a tank top!

I never looked back!

When the concept that sex is good, not bad, finally penetrated our thick skulls, we could stop feeling the guilt and fear and shame we'd felt since we were very young.  What an amazing tap dance the churches do to convince us that we are evil---that we are evil by nature---that the natural person is an enemy to what God stands for---that we are somehow FALLEN.  Horrors!  Everything has changed for us now.  We have a whole new set of make-sense rules that have nothing to do with hating ourselves and hating what is natural.  First target in our sites:  Down with the tyranny of clothing!

This website has some great advice on approaching relationships.  Was a great help to me in redefining for myself what I wanted out of relationships, both with my wife, and others:

My attitude on sexuality and nudity has changed a lot since leaving.  We've done naked hot tubing since leaving and found that to be a liberating experience.  We were born naked too.  I think America (not just Mormon Utah) is too prudish when it comes to nudity and sexuality.  I think Europe has a much healthier attitude towards our natural bodies.

As nobody has added a disussion yet, I thought I'd throw this into the ring:-

Over at Mormon Expression this week, their latest podcast is all about "Mormon Nudity".

(apparently the panel recorded the programme totally stripped-off as well!-)

I would have liked them to mention the pre-1990 temple ritual, where "patrons" were forced to parade nakedly, apart from adorning the so-called "shield" and be touched-up and "annointed" by elderly temple workers. It was a pretty uncomfortable experience, I can tell you!

Fortunately, I live here in a more liberal Europe, where we are quite used to seeing topless ladies on the beach, nude bathing and group saunas.

So, listening to the podcast, I thought, how quaint and prudish you Utah people still are!  When I was still a tbm, I had no problems taking my family to some of the nudist  beaches.

Whilst I can't honestly say I'm a natural-born naturist, I've never seen it as a big issue, but with the climate here,  and in the privacy of my own secluded property, I often don't wear clothes at all in the summer.

So, perhaps interesting to get some feedback from exmo's and find out if your attitudes have changed, or not? Or are you still like Mark E Peterson (what an evil wanker, with his epistle on masturbation), who boasted of never having seen his wife naked!

Haha, that makes sense why the previous message seemed out of the blue Phil.  Thanks for posting.
