I am constantly amazed by the LDS Crutch.  Why do they talk of a Restoration so much?  There should be ancient Baptism for the Dead fonts all over the Middle East and further.  Yet, there are not…Continue

Hello everyone, I am a french ex-mormon, I left the church in 2000 because I am gay and as we all know that is a bad thing and sin!!!!! Wishing to meet new people, feel free to contact me :) C-ya soon

I left the LDS Church because they insult your brain with their load of crap.  They unsuccessfully attempt to contort logic and time and space :) by trying to draw logical lines where none exist.  They say that we do not have the Golden Plates because we were not worthy to see them...  !! what a load of crap.  The more weird something is the more you have to pray about it and do so until you know its true.  Why not say, ask God to know IF it is true, and not "to know it is" true.

Politics is out of hand in the LDS Church.  I have seen stake presidents sone and daughters stay at BYU after having sex and another sent home for the same.  I guess it is based upon their personal inspiration...another way of saying "you do what you want" and blame it in God.

Women re treated like crap, they hide behind Mommas (members) skirts and persecute Gays thru the members fanned actions.  Hitler did the same thing didn't he.

They feel as if they are perfect and if others were smart enough they'd know it as well.  I said "smart" and not "inspired".

The LDS Church is as inspired as the people that raise their right hand to support leaders and do not even realise who they just sustained...thoughtless and not caring. The LDS Church is out for success ..... definitely no tyour success as you are the grease in their wheels.  You are the rubber tire that just blew out. They have people out there getting new ones to replace you.  They are out for their own success.  Not Gods, not Christs, not anyone elses, but theoir own.  Look at their actions and not what they say.

I dislike them.  Period and end of statement.  Let them pray to know the truthfullness of what i have shared.

I say this in the name of obvious truth and history, Amen.

I would be interested to learn about people who joined the mormon church and then left, in particular i would like to know the reasons that motivated their leaving.

Hi

I'm in England but a different generation.  I don't know which part of this country you'll be moving to but I can probably give you some information

My fiance lives in England. He's not an ex-mo, but I am. We will probably be moving there in a few years so I figured maybe I could meet some people from there through the group. :) Any Englanders?

Hi ya'll, I am not from Europe but truly wanted to join the group to be able to strike up some fine friendships with folks from there.  My husband and I have wanted to live in Europe some day, not quite ready yet:)  But friendship over seas is a start!  Thought about many different places there.  Before we left the church we were confident that we could buddy up with some fellow Mormons.  Now that we have seen the light and left we feel that loss of belonging to a world wide understanding.  But alas-C.A.L.M has arrived in our lives!  Our new fellow understandings are Ex-Mormons, and so many more

Pushka,
For what it is worth, I prefer email at times as well. English is my first of several languages. When I speak English I like to know what I am going to say, maybe choose a more accurate word, and communicate more effectively, in my first language. I have to take more care in it. Others may not know if I mess up, but I sure as hell do, :)hahahaha So, I understand your views and practice it in my way myself.
