I've been internally debating whether or not to put myself out there and join this group. I'm sorry for those of us who have additional challenges, that most times, other folks can't possibly comprehend. But, I'm grateful "Kazzy" decided to create this group so we can hopefully band together and support and encourage one another!

I have quite the variety of both physical and mental health issues, some of which are genetic (being adopted just makes it *that* more frustrating). Bipolar I=Rapid Cycling, Borderline Personality Disorder, GAD, RAD, IED. Physically: Hidradenitis Suppurativa, lower lumbar disk degeneration, type 2 Diabetes (plus others I won't bother to mention). I, too, suffered head trauma but due to repeated attacks to the head during childhood whereby I lost consciousness several times (chiropractor thought it was due to multiple car accidents) but it was caused by abuse.

Naturally, self-esteem/acceptance is a constant issue. So, now that I'm "out"...will people still accept me/wanna be my friend? Guess time will tell, eh?! Good luck to everyone here in this little but crucial group!!

Ex-Mormon with so many health issues, it's not funny. Major ones in my life are Bipolar Type 2 and degenerative joints in my knees. Nice to find others with similar issues! Although, I don't like that we have them! :)

I was born with Aortic Stenosis..heart trouble, and recently developed a secondary heart condition called Atrial Fibrilation. I've also suffered with arthritis in both hips, bursitis episodes in my right hip recently, Type 2 Diabetes/high blood pressure, anxiety and recurrent depressive disorder for a number of years.

Things get very hard for me sometimes, and I must admit to having attempted suicide in the days when I used to drink heavily...but I now feel that although I still have suicidal thoughts on a regular basis, I can trust that I won't go that far again...I hope not anyway. I suppose this makes me a worthy candidate for this group? I too, survived a potentially deadly head injury which caused me to have a blood clot behind my left eye, the clot was removed during an emergency operation and I think I've been all right since...Hello Everybody, btw, and thanks for setting up this group :)

I'm a never-mo who has been disabled (brain injuries) in several car wrecks. Can I join your group?
