As other forum member have pointed out, with Romney as one of the two major candidates for president, the Mormon Cult might be in for a lot more scrutiny and exposure in the next few months. I have observed, however, that most of the media seems to have taken a "hands off" approach, thus reinforcing the notion that candidates' religious beliefs are off-limits, improper, prohibited, tabu, a sacred cow.
I have never understood this "get-out-of-jail-free" card. I consequently composed this missive about Romney's (and others') beliefs for another forum --and share it here in case any are interested.
