We are an online social community of former mormons, ex-mormons, ex-LDS and sympathizers. Stay C.A.L.M. - Community After Leaving Mormonism
I have been seeking to be a Christian after making the break from mormonism. I do pray, but I haven't affiliated myself with another church.
I think I've had my fill of Religion, but I am earnestly seeking for Spirituality. To that end, I've been reading The Tao Te Ching of Lao Tzu. I find a Spirituality in it. It may seem contradictory for me to do that, but from what small part that I have read of it there are no contradictions to Christianity.

Permalink Reply by David Chance on January 3, 2012 at 6:30pm I left the church for the main reason being it never fullfilled my spiritual needs or wants.I realized religion is not for me,I needed to learn from all people and gain wisdom and knowledge and started to build my belief system.See if you join another religion you get the same guilt, fear and all that comes with being a follower.Go on your own journey and follow your own intuituion, open your heart and mind and what connects with you then take the pieces and spirituality will be discovered. The first topic I looked into was taoism and I love the teachings. Then see where it leads you.So good luck and congradulations

That book is one of the main things that is helping me get over a serious depression (a depression which is of course partly due to mormonism). Returning to the root, I feel the source of all things :)
