Someone on PostMormon posted a link to the NatGeo page where I watched the documentary on this group. All this guy needed was an angel with a flaming sword to be old Joe himself. He talks about how god "forced him" to sleep with other men's wives (and the gullible husbands actually believe it). He prophesied the end of the world would happen on Oct. 31, 2007. Obviously nothing happened. They had a psychologist talk about why people don't leave the cult when prophesies don't come true. When their beliefs don't agree with reality, they somehow create a new reality that supports their beliefs. Does that sum up TBM's or not??
This "prophet" is now serving 10 years in prison for sexual misconduct with minors.
