I was thinking today that perhaps the name "Life After Mormonism" would be more fitting than "Life Beyond x-Mormonism". The URL would remain the same (www.exmormononline.net). Please share your opinion and if you think there's a more fitting name, please feel free to suggest it.
True, but if the URL stays the same, timid doubters will see "exmormon" and get scared anyway. I know was extremely leery of anything that said, "exmormon", too, even after I'd already joined postmormon for a while.
But this isn't really a site for timid doubters, right? It's a site for those who know they want to get past it. The decision's already been made, right? Or have I assumed too much?
Micah, you know I try to always be completely supportive of your ideas, especially the goofy, crackpot ones involving conspiracy theories like the one that Jeff Ricks shot John Kennedy from the grassy knoll---but this change the name of the online community thing is just too off the wall. Calm down!!!!
But, if you must change the name, how about something meaningful and easy to remember, like
Life Beyond Total Bat Shit Crazy Stuff We Did When We Were Mormons But Now We All Drink Too Much And Are Involved In Strange Blood Rituals Involving Medium-Sized Rodents.
Or, another good name might be:
Micah's I Don't Have Enough to Do, So I Keep Changing the Name of the Online Community That I Founded That Seeks to Help People Recover from That Bat Shit Crazy Mormon Thing We All Used to Do (Except TruthR) but I Can't Decide, So I'm Going to Form a New Online Community to Discuss Changing Names of Online Communities
But, now that I think of it, Life After Mormonism is good too. Whatever you think. You know we all support you.
