Mormon Glenn Beck: Hurricane Irene and East Coast earthquake a ‘blessing’ from God

Not willing to be outdone by Pat Robertson, Glenn Beck recently weighed in on God’s communication by way of natural disasters, telling his listeners that this week’s East Coast earthquake and hurricane are a “blessing” and a message from God to “be prepared.”

“How many warnings do you think you’re going to get, and how many warnings do you deserve? This hurricane that is coming thorough the East Coast, for anyone who’s in the East Coast and has been listening to me say ‘Food storage!’ ‘Be prepared!’ ‘Be somebody that can help others,’ you’ve heard me say this for years. People have made fun of me. That’s fine, I don’t care. I’ve been telling you, ‘Don’t be in a panic situation.’ If you’ve waited, this hurricane is a blessing. It is a blessing. It is God reminding you — as was the earthquake last week — it’s God reminding you you’re not in control. Things can happen. Be prepared and be someone who can help others so when disaster strikes, God forbid, you’re not panicking.”

I guess the severe drought we are having in Texas is a blessing too eh Glenn? I talked to my father the other day who happens to work at three diffrent cattle auction barns and he told me that ranchers in his area of the state are aucioning off cattle in record numbers. One barn that usually only auctions off 1100 to 1200 cattle a week saw 1800 in one day.

I personally think Glenn is full of cow manure. And every time I listened to his radio show or watched his show I thought he was screaming at me and trying to make me feel like crap.

This guy is insane. While active, I met a family once who had a kitchen table that Beck MADE for them.  It was the UGLIEST thing I had ever seen.  The entire table-top was deeply engraved with some sort of picture and words - I can't remember exactly.  When the couple showed it to me, I tried to be polite and lied about how nice it was.  As I was saying this to them, I remember thinking that only a moron would design a kitchen table - one you eat at with children - with indentations and crevices all over it.  I was glad not to have to clean it after eating at it every day!
