Is anyone familiar with Ina Coolbrith? She was Don Carlos Smith's daughter (Joseph's niece then stepdaughter), became Poet Laureate of California and most likely had an affair with Samuel Clemens. She may be one of the coolest (hah, punny!) people to come out of the early church...
Very Random Side Note: She has also been amorously connected to several other famous literary figures of the day, which was very bold for a woman at the time. So, what if she and her uncle shared a gene driving them towards sexual exploits and writing flowery verse? She just went about it in a more upstanding way... probably a silly thought, but not altogether absurd.
She sounds like a neat person. I hadn't heard of her before now that I recall.
