Other than some of the private Facebook groups out there, I'm not aware of any other chat room for the ex-mormon community that is as frequented as here on LAM chat.  I am making this post to increase awareness of our chat room which is open 24/7 and often busy throughout the day and most evenings.  Many of our chat visitors have made the observation that they healed or recovered from Mormonism at a quicker or deeper level through chatting out their concerns in live chat.  For many of them, it's the only "fix" they now need, or they just keep coming back for the social interaction and friends they have made.  If you haven't visited our chat room before, stop by anytime, or in the evenings when it is busier.  Ex-Mormon Chat has never been easier.  (free registration required to join the chat room)  Chat can also be accessed from the bottom of any page while surfing on LAM.  We also have a designated "Friday Night Chat" (FNC) event/party every Friday night.  Video chat is also often a part of that social event and you can learn where to access video chat when in attendance.  If you want to share how live chat has helped you, feel free to do so here.  Happy chatting!

Yes the chat room does make it much more friendly (sometimes).  On the regular forums you can post about topics and get replies but never really just get to know someone and things about them the way you do in a chat room.
