Today I confronted a TBM friend of mine about the endowment ceremony. I told him that I'd heard that there was naked touching involved in the washing and anointing ceremony. He quickly assured me that they "only touch your head." Is this true? Did my friend flat out lie to me? I've heard that they make you strip naked and put a sheet over your body and they touch you in various places. I know they made changes to the endowment ceremony after the year 1990, but did they do away with the naked touching as well or is that part still in practice?

I went in 1986 and YES I was stripped naked. A sheet was put over me.. and an old woman gave me my priesthood for women and touched my head, my breast under the sheet on my bare skin and my hip close to my hoo haa also under the sheet with oil on her bare hands.  NO ONE prepared me for this I was stunned and shocked.  They have taken this out I hear but it DID happen so either your friend went after that  or they are lying about the past.  What sickened me just as much was the promise to cut my throat and spill my guts with a knife vow I had to take.. complete with hand motions.  Also not prepared for that.
Yes, and a very unpleasant experience to go through!

it did happen, i got mine endowement in 1998 and it did happen, slightly touching brest, loins, head, legs, feet. Is a mormon thing, israelites used to anoint the head only, wash the feet... tell your friend the apotles wash each other feet, raise their hands and say

dc 88 133:

133Art thou a brother or brethren? I salute you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, in token or remembrance of the everlasting covenant, in which covenant I receive you to afellowship, in a determination that is fixed, immovable, and unchangeable, to be your bfriend and cbrother through the grace of God in the bonds of love, to walk in all the commandments of God blameless, in thanksgiving, forever and ever. Amen.

mormons are touchy people in the temple

There is no more naked touching or promising to slit your throat or anything. The ceremony has been watered down quite a bit.
