I've gotten several requests to go back to the beach for our next event, so away we go...
On Saturday, September 8th, from 3:00pm to whenever, will be Exmo's At The Beach 2: The Sequel. We'll can play in the sun or the water during the afternoon, then I'll cook something on the grill for dinner, then when it gets dark we'll have a fire, roast marshmallows, and listen to the soothing guitar playing of my BIL. We had a blast in June and we'll have a blast in September.
Here is what you need to know:
The event is on Saturday, September 8th from around 3:00pm to whenever (the beach closes at 10:00pm, but of course you can leave whenever).
We will be at Bolsa Chica State Beach, which is between Seal Beach and Huntington Beach. Here is a map to the location. If driving from the north on the PCH, the parking entrance is at the first street light south of Warner. If driving from the south on PCH, the parking entrance is at the first street light north of Seapoint. You can’t miss it.
Parking at the beach is $15, cash only. You may be able to park nearby for free, but you’ll have to walk farther to get to the beach.
YOU MUST RSVP. We won’t know what fire pit we will have until the day of the event, so as soon as I know exactly where on the beach we will be, I will send out a message to everyone who RSVP’d letting them know where on the beach we are at.
There are no pets allowed on the beach, so unless your pet will be okay hanging out in the parking lot, leave your pet at home.
Even though this is obviously a exmo event, it is also an event for the entire family so people all across the belief spectrum are welcome. Bring along your family and friends.
Answers to questions:
What can I bring?
You tell me. I'm still deciding on what to grill. If I don't cook ribs again, I'll probably do steak. I haven't decided yet. Otherwise, let me know what you'd like to bring, whether chips, drinks, salad, dessert, your secret family recipe, or anything else. Just let me know what you plan to bring so I can make sure we don't end up with 20 bags of chips and nothing else. FYI, there is no alcohol allowed on the beach. If you don't want to bring anything, that’s fine too.
Do I have to pay for the ribs/steak/whatever you end up cooking?
No. You don’t have too. But the cook will be going out-of-pocket for the meat so if you slip a tip into the cooks pocket, he’ll probably look the other way. (-:
I think that about covers it. If there are any questions, ask away. Otherwise, RSVP and let me know if you plan on bringing something to share.
I can’t wait to see everyone!
